The essential oil of Ravintsara with a fresh, aniseed and peppery smell reminiscent of Eucalyptus, is extracted from the fresh leaf by steam distillation.

It is one of the most immunostimulant essential oils. It also has the following properties: antiallergic, antiasthmatic, antiviral, antitussive (greasy cough), expectorant, anti-inflammatory and central nervous system (CNS) stimulant. It is well understood that it is a star of the respiratory system, colds, rhinitis, rhinopharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis, bronchitis, and viral diseases such as influenza.

Ravintsara is an essential oil to always carry with you as soon as autumn arrives. We will use it to strengthen our immune system to help prevent viral infections.

Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow liquid

Odor: Eucalyptus-like, fresh smell of cineol and camphor

Properties: Analgesic, Antibacterial, Antiviral, Anti-inflammatory, Antitussive, Decongestant, Expectorant, Stimulating

Recommendations: Dilute and apply to chest for relief of respiratory symptoms, diffuse or inhale directly to ease congestion and fight airborne bacteria. Add 3-5 drops to your diffuser before bedtime and breathe in the vapors during the night. This has the advantage of helping you get a good night's sleep.

Directions: Mix with a carrier oil for topical application.
