Argan is a vegetable carrier oil, not an essential oil. It is pressed from the kernel rather than distilled, and it is used as a base rather than as an active at low dosage. Cosmetic grade is pressed from unroasted kernels; culinary grade is roasted and smells quite different. Say which you need.
